Back to school!

Well hello Year 11! Your two GCSE Maths exams are provisionally scheduled for 9th and 13th June 2014. Not long to go!  It will be exam time before you know it. We have lots of new stuff to cover before then, including trigonometric graphs, vectors, graph transformations, quadratic simultaneous equations and proof. We'll do most of this before your mock exams in December.  In March, April and May we'll mainly focus on revision and exam preparation. You all worked so hard in Year 10 so keep it up!  We've got a lot to do to get those A*s!

Do you want to do some Maths now to get your brain working again?  Try this worksheet which should remind you about surds.  If you complete it (impressive!), or get stuck, come and see me.

I look forward to seeing you all at Opportunities in the Sixth Form evening on 6th November, where we can discuss whether you're interested in doing A Level Maths.

Remember to speak to me during or outside lessons if you have any concerns or need extra help on any topics during the year.

Finally, here's a maths joke that made me laugh... :)
