Today we talked about how there can be two possible answers to Sine Rule questions. We call this the ambiguous case (ambiguous means unclear). Your calculator can only give you one answer so you need to find the other answer. To do this:
- On your calculator, work out the required angle using the Sine Rule.
- Subtract that angle from 180 – this will give you a second answer.
- You must check whether the second answer is possible!
